The 2:00am TBD slot is supposed to be the women again. The men are scheduled to play 16 matches at 11:30pm eastern & 16 more at 4:00am eastern, that's it for the day. Looking at the schedule for the last 3 days they try to get Japanese players in most matches, the popular matches they don't seem to care about. Many of their players will probably be gone after todays round of 64 then they will have no choice but to show name players.

Shane led 6 - 0 in current match & was then tied at 7 but now leads 10-7 apparently. they had him losing 10-7 then switched it on scoreboard.
update He won 11-7
Ignacio just lost to Chang Y.L.
Chang J.L., Souquet, Bustamante & Pagulayan all win easily against Japanese opponents.
Biado lost 11 - 6 to Lo Li-wen

Day 3 was not good day for Pinoys
Sentimental favorite Efren lost to Pinoy qualifier Mendoza
Ignacio lost to Chang Yu Lung 11-7. If I am not mistake Chang was behind 2-7 at one stage , I could be wrong
Biado lost Japan based Taiwanese Lo Li Wen
Thorsten took down Kings Cup captain Mika
So both Kings Cup captains are out so they have time to prepare and strategise for next weeks much anticipated inaugural event. Only 1 member from Team East , Buste and Team West, Shane are still alive

Tomorrow Day 4 boasts mega matchups...no easy matches. I really hope they stream some of them

DAY 4 (Sat 14 Nov)
Alex v Shane
Chang Yu Lung v Antonio Lining
Johann Chua v Ralf
Lo Li Wen v Chao
Liu Haitao v Chang Jung Lin
Yang v Alcano
Ricky v Thorsten
Wang Can v Wu

Anyone know how long this has been run as a 10 Ball tournament?

Yeah, I would like to know more about the history of this tournament also....
...it might be the 48th....but it aint the 48th 10-ball championship....
....is this the one that Parica won 7 out of 8 in the 70s?....it was 9-ball then.

It was changed to ten ball from 2011 and I dont believe Parica has ever won it.

Yeah, Victor, I checked....it was the Japan Open that Parica started with in 1979...
...he also won the World Pro twice in Japan.
I would think he is the winningest player in Japan ever (majors)
...although Okamura may be in the running.

How's m'man Toda doing in this tournament?

Toda lucked out and drew an absent Waleed Majid in his first match. He came within a win away from qualifying for the round of 64 but lost 9-7 to another Japanese player.
