5 Needing Wraps

Gorgeous batch of cues, Tony.

Sometimes it's easy to misinterpret the meaning behind a typed post vs actually speaking with somebody....one of the limitations of this online stuff....certainly guilty of it myself at times.

Well you list so many cues at one time it just looks like you build cues real fast, you are the one listing 5 cues at a time what would you think players would think, hell even the 20 year + cue builder don't do that,i think that the new cue builders on AZB at times like this are Greedy and Disrespectful to the 20 year + cue builder, did you see the interview with the 20 year cue builder and the 5 year cue builder? The 5 year cue builder said that ivory was unstable, and maple has a thud and he does not take a deposits for his cues, and the 20 year cue builder likes ivory and it is stable and he does take a deposit on cues also likes maple, now who are we to believe? New cue builder are just that,NEW and they are giving misinformation to many AZB'ER and PLAYER that is Disrespectful to all that work hard to build cues and take there TIME to give us the very best they can
and when you put up 5 cues it looks like you build very fast and you are a new cue builder you have said it yourself, and please give up on the fire wood you have used that up many times sounds like you are a car salesman.Cues are not Cars so let the cues age a little so we know we are getting the best we can get.4 month cues are GREEDY and will not stand in time.
THE TROLL

I stand corrected. You are a troll. Unfortunately, since you like to give out misinformation about my cues in my thread, I feel the need to address them. I consider a cue started when I cut in the points. I only take 3 more cuts on the cue after that as it is not far off the finish size when the points go in. I would not consider four months to cut off .040", which would be .020 per side a shortcut by any means.

And furthermore, you know nothing about me. Greed has nothing to do with it. If I was greedy, I certainly wouldn't be building cues. Do you really think I make a profit in this when every dime I make plus more goes into more wood and equipment?

Give it rest ....

Give it a rest the guy is putting out what looks like outstanding work I have not seen him put out a cue yet that did not look good ... Can you do any better ??? I'm sure he stands behind his work he would not be very succesfull if he did not ... It is easy to get on here and post very negative comments that take a long time to get over for someone that works hard to do a great job ... There is no need for all that your making yourself look bad it sounds more like your a jealous cue maker and mad becuase the guy seems to be doing good ... I have been admiring his work for awhile now and sooner or later I may give him a call and have him do a cue for me if he takes orders like that ... Right now I am extremely caught up in the wonderful work that Leon Sly is doing ... And Jimmy Lee ... But guys like Zinzola and Eddie Wheat are also high on my list ...

In my eyes your really making yourself look bad ... everyone is quick to jump on a cue maker and tear him apart and try to make them look bad . It is no wonder they are so defensive about thier work ... it is alot less seldom that they are told what great work they are doing ...

THE TROLL

For what it's worth, I met Tony a few months ago when he was here in Japan. While we were out shooting some pool a dealer approached him about buying one of his cues. Tony had the chance to wring that dude dry on the price of his cue but he didn't even go near doing anything like that. He gave him a fair deal. I was standing right there when the cash changed hands and I can tell you, as someone that has purchased a lot of cues in the past, Tony gave him a very very fair price. If it was me I would have charged the guy more. I don't know Tony other than the one evening we spent shooting pool but no matter what you want to call him "greedy" shouldn't be one of those things.
MULLY
short legs fits pretty well though :D

Tony is Totally stand up and a perfectionist. Nothing leaves the shop without being as good as it can be. You sir are out of line.

FYI he definately isn't in it for the money . Tony has a very lucritive job. The money from cues would be like a raindrop in the ocean.

Every cue maker I know makes cues in batches more or less.

Ron Haley generally works in batches of 6. I would definately not call him a hack.

Hell if you were only working one one cue at a time you would have to be the lowest output cuemaker on the planet. What would that be like 2 cues a year.

Give It Up And Put It At Rest.....

Tony is one of the stand up guy that I know of. I dont think he really need this cue making money this bad:D , he got a real job and and cue making is hobby for him. Maybe you got to do a little more RESEARCH to find out who he is first before you can say anything BADabout Tony. As far as I know he is the most honest and fair guy to deal with as BAR NONE!!!PIECE OUT ....

Ok, here's one wrapped. I used a Black Textured Bison Wrap. One of the nicest wraps I've worked with and it feels great too.

I'm not going to sit here and argue with a troll, so this will be my last post directed at you. That cue you are referring to is my second cue. I made 22 cues last year. This year, I have finished 14 or 15 cues. I have probably burned at least that many. None of my cues are made fast and if you think my price is too high, then don't buy them.
tap tap
just keep on truckin' Tony, nice work

Some asked for photos, so here's 5 that I still need to wrap. Been busy with work and I'm going to the basketball game tonight, so might be a few days. I'll post them in this thread as I get them wrapped.

The bottom one with the brown veneers is firewood. The rest are sold.

Tony, i dont think you need to explain yoursaelf to this character....
As always fantastic work...:)

Maybe I should post your normal login name Rackforcash. It doesn't take a genius to figure out who you really are. It's a shame. We've had a phone conversation or two in the past and I always thought you were a nice guy. After looking at your other posts, I can see you made that account just to start trouble.

Fun times

Tony

How about those Celtics. Hope you had a blast at the game last night.
Keep up the great work and ignore the naysayers and negativity mongers.

Kevin

Your cue looks really good Kevin. Especially considering we started it just this month. Actually, I glued the points into the forearm on September 11th last year. I guess I shouldn't have gone so fast.

I was the one who held things up with my indesisiveness on the color scheme layout. Glad we took our time and got it right. I think it looks wonderful. Can't wait to show it off to all my friends and fellow league players.

Send it to me and I'll send it back straight ......just send me half the profit for it when it's sold.

I'm sure you were joking, but never took the time to reply. I had several requests to buy this cue. In my mind, if I repair this cue, it is no longer a new cue, but a repaired cue. To me it is junk and I will use it to cut test inlays in before I finally cut it into pieces.

Very nice cues. Can you tell me how long your waiting list is? I love points and veneers and you have mastered the art quite well.....
