Please give an example of amatuer. It may help if you note which if any of the following players would be barred:

Doug Young
Horace Godwin
Jonathan Tedder
Ben Conway
Jesse Middlebrook
Paul Song
Paul Turner
Randy Jordan

I would think all of those guys would be barred with the exceptiion of maybe Tedder and Jordan.

Wow, great list. But you forgot Clint McCollough. I would exclude all the above players from being eligable. ( Although, having Tedder in the mix would be very entertaining ) I have ran a couple of tournaments for Kim Davenport. We usally require all the entrants to be a member in good standing with an Amateur League. With this tournament, that will not be the case. But with that said, I do intend on keeping the field narrowed to people who would be allowed to play in an Amateur Only Event Tournament. I am pretty sure that Mr. Janis and Mr. Daulton would not allow the above players in one of their Amateur Only events.

Here is list of some of the players who will be in the event:

Kevin Wright
Danny Blackstock
Paul Steinhauser
Jeff Tabet
Jeff Taylor
Bob Buckley
Victor Bagley
Rafael E.
Channey Randall
Norris Likens

If the tournament goes well, we will try to schedule one a month alternating between an amateur and open event. When Kim gets back from Reno, I will try to schedule the date for an open Ring Game Tournament.

This should be an exciting event for the M.B.C. Having witnessed an impromtu game last night which included a number of the players on the list shown above. Good luck.

This event should be very entertaining. If you don't have plans for Friday evening, come on down and either watch or take part in the tournament.

Well, it certainly seems like you are trying to have a fair and enjoyable tournament. I hope you have a full crowd. Good job.
