Race to 2 sounds like a crap shoot? I will try and make the auction.
Doubt if I play, but perhaps Crump or Jacob might want to ?

I have attached the 09 Zims standings. I guess all the players ID'd as A's and A+'s and UNKNOWN players are excluded?

Thanks

Yes Mark you would be correct no unknown players allowed.Hell if you are comin u might as well give it a shot. This is a new event that me and Zim are trying, and hopefully it will catch on.We will probably pick a different local charity every year, and hopefully next year we can get more sponsors and add $1000.00

Glad to see that Mike (Zim) is back in the saddle doing tournaments! He's a great guy and hope that you have a fantastic showing! Tell em Eydie says Hi, and love to the family!

The DRIVE keeps me away

It is not the entry fee that keeps me away from playing in this event. It is the fact that I have to make the drive Saturday and Sunday. After coming out Friday for the Auction.

I will have more luck just buying a couple players and calling you guys on Sunday to see if I made anything or lost it ALL>.

If the event was closer to my house? I would play. 3 trips $60 for gas and tread wear on my tires.

If I was single? I would just get a room on Friday and see what happened.:cool:

Hell I might even play?

The tourney starts on Friday after the auction, and continues and wraps on Saturday. Is that correct? No Sunday Play? Thanks
Bump to the TOP.

Mark play will end on Saturday night,we will have 4 tables to use.Zim got a 1000.00 donation today so it is now a 1000.00 added event

$1000 added race to 2? at Lenjo's Pocohontas Illinois

Sounds like the premier event in the midwest this weekend, and no land sharks are allowed. Auction should be interesting. I will be there, and might even play. Do C players get a game going to 2?

I have permission for Friday night.

So, I will be there to pump up the auction. Will be looking to buy a couple STRONG B+ players.:smile::smile::smile:

11 a.m. Saturday I will be :boring2::boring2::boring2:

Only 32 players showed up

Bump Bump 5 hours til the auction kicks off.

$1000 added plus Ques.
Calcutta to pay top 4 places.
I cannot believe this tournament did not get a better turn out.
1/4 of the field gets $$$$.................

Some players did not come due to the original flyer stating this would carry over into Sunday and they had league conflicts?

Race to two is like a horserace. Zim dug deep in his pockets and bought about 1/3 of the field. I stuck with 2 solid players and an unknown, last minute guy?

We shall see what develops.
Hopefully results and payouts will be posted upon completion of this tourney.

Can you give the results and auction payouts?

Well with 32 players that tournament should be about over.

Please provide tourney results and auction payouts.

Thanks:smile::smile::smile:

Mike Zimmerman would like to thank the $1000 Donor MO8

Well this tournament drew 32 players and ended up being a 2 day event.

Chris Brown won the tournament, the tournament paid just over $700 plus another $300 for the auction.........
Curt Froncheck came in 2nd place
Wayne Ambuehl came in 3rd place.

I did not get the payouts for 2nd and 3rd but I did get $5 more than I spent in the auction by Wayne coming in 3rd place. Better than a sharp stick in the eye. Plus I got to see Lenny and his kids and get a heads up on the BIG tournament the weekend after the Super Bowl. Big Team Tourney with an Open Singles event on Friday night.
