Just letting everyone know that riverbend will be having a handicap 8 ball tournament on the 30 of may.This is a very fair tournament run by jimmy eberhart.There is a full calcutta that starts a 1pm.They have 1.50 beers and good cheap food hope to see everyone there.If you are from the stl area and play pool this is a great tournament!!!!!!!!

Hey Jimmy...isn't there a 9-ball tournament this coming Sunday on the
16th there? I thought there was a tournament every other Sunday...let me know if I am wrong. Thanks!

The tournaments are on the 2nd and last Sundays of the month. Check out the website for details http://www.riverbendbilliards.com/

The 2nd Sunday tourney would have been today but they are closed for Mother's Day.

I thought River Bend caught on fire and burnt down???? Did they rebuild it or move someplace new??

so, is it the same building or a different one?? i allways get lost in alton, but i can find the ibew electricians union hall and bar. i found the poolhall marks brother used to work in, i was working around the corner from it, but cannt remember its name???

I believe first place total including calcutta was about 700$!! There were 23 players total which I thought was amazing considering it was Memorial Day weekend and all. Other notable players in the field were Justin Bergman, Gary Lutman, Andy Hauschild, Curtis Froncheck, Mario Webster, David Fitzgerald. The tournament ran smoothly. It was handicapped fairly, evidenced by the results. I can only see these tournaments growing from month to month once people realize how fair it is and how much there is to win! It is also nice because of the great venue and cheap good food. How can you beat $0.85 for a good burger?!?! Cant wait til the next one!!
