Looking for the book by eddie Robin titled "500 Essential Shots of 3-Cushion Billiards " Anyone know where I can get one ? I have checked all the usual places online. Thanks
 
Never been published as far as I know, along with many other titles from Eddie Robin that were planned.

Position Play in Three Cushion Billiards is his only billiard book, he has two other books on one pocket.

Got a laugh by looking on Amazon and a seller wanted 461.77 for the position play book.
 
Why Robin does not make Position Play available in something less than a presentation collector grade format is beyond me. He could probably use the bucks and we players could definitely use the information.

The information is just as valuable paper bound as it is leather bound, or unbound (ie PDF) for that matter.

Such a waste.
 
I got the Position book on ebay four or five years ago for under $100. Now it's hard to find. I think this board has pushed the demand up. Incredible book. Bound like a high school yearbook, has that thick cover and weird smell to the fake leather. No, I'm not selling it.

He mentions the 500 Shots book in that one, and also a "Mathematics of 3-cushion" book. All systems. He mentions using one of the systems for a position shot. That book I'd like to see.

There was a post a few years back about Eddie. Guess he's very old man and alot of health problems. Somebody should tell him you don't need to publish in print anymore. And he could make money.
 
From what I heard from a very reliable source the remaining books will have to be redone.
He lost everything in a hard drive crash. Probably Position Play too. Guess he could scan the pages and sell CD's for a C Note, but ??
 
Here a little hint.The 3C book could be checkout /request for at your Public Library. Las Vegas Library Have one,also Library of Congress
 
A friend is currently letting me borrow the position book. I had a friend ask eddie if I could do a series of videos on the book. He said no. One day I would like to bring the book back to life. I will have to get Eddie to say yes in writing first. :confused:
 
Has anyone here actually sold a book through Amazon? If someone wants my perfect copy for 400 bucks, its sold as fast as I can throw it in a next day air package.

Cool book, but holy smokes what a price.

Eddie does not have any more of his 3-cushion position play books left; (good lucking finding one) but he does give lessons here in Las Vegas, NV to select individuals and best billiards on flamingo is in fact one of his haunts...

there are also a few really good 3-cushion players that frequent the cue club as well on just about any given day/night...

Hmmm, I have two of Eddie's books - the 3-cushion book and one of the one pocket books. Had no idea they were worth so much...

I actually pre-paid for the new 3 cushion book that was to be published, talked to Eddie about it and was excited about it as I was playing a lot at the time. Then it never happened, never worried about the money since I gathered that it wasn't done intentionally but was disappointed because of the material.
