JB Cases

Well unbelievably here it is. Figuring about 5 minutes per post as a VERY conservative average that 25,000 minutes I have spent writing on AZ since starting the JB Cases id a few years ago.

That's a little too much. 416 hours or 17 straight days of posting. That doesn't count all the reading.

But I have gotten a lot out of this forum over the years.

Obviously in the past two and a half years I have been fortunate enough to sell a lot of cases here so thank you to all my customers who are also AZ members.

Thank you to Mike Howerton and everyone who helps him for keeping this site going. I know that it's a lot of work even without the catfights between members to deal with.

Thank you to all the good people who put up thoughtful information that is entertaining and educational.

Through this forum I have learned much about pool that I never knew, much about myself that I should have known, and much about others that I want to know.

It's my morning coffee, and my bedtime story. I, like many of you, am addicted to this community. I have to slow down the frequency of posting quite a bit but I will never be gone from AZ. Despite the fact that there are a lot of antagonistic people here (and I know I am one of them from time to time) I find that the amount of good hearted really cool people far outweighs the people who are not as positive as they could be.

A forum is only as good as the people who populate it and I am proud to say that I am a member of AZ Billiards and haven't been completely voted off the island yet.

Best to all of you and thank you again!

Sincerely,

John Barton

Congrats on 5000.:thumbup2:
Thanks for supporting the forum.:grin-square::wink:

What I like the best about this place is the fact that I got to meet a lot of really cool people. I got to meet you, John, also Shawn Smith, Brad Simpson, and a handful of others. If it weren't for this place, I would be much less informed about many things going on in the pool world.

Of course, the things I hate about this place, is that there is always one or two negative bastards who ruin it for everyone, and just plain, 'don't get it'. Ego, and self centeredness seems to be the biggest problem, because everyone's viewpoint is right. What people need to understand, is that your viewpoint is only right for yourself.

Aside from all that shit, I am truly grateful to have been blessed with the likes of Dick Neighbors, Darrin Hill, Dave Sutton, KJ, Eric Crisp, and a great deal of other cue craftsmen. Where else can you reach out instantly and have that many experienced guys to ask if you have a problem? It is a very rare thing in my book.

Where else can you take someone you have never met and arrange a meeting at the pool hall, have a total blast, as if you've known each other all your life? To me meeting other Azer's from around the world is about the coolest thing.

The internet is a wonderful world and this site is among the best places to be.. it is THE best for pool players to be. JB has always been a high class contributor and while hawking goods is one of the obvious priorities he still has the best interests of the game in his sights.

It's what a man knows about himself on the inside that also makes him humble.
