Is the weather nice?

All the Amateurs are here. The place is packed. It's literally standing room only. papa Murph is real happy with the turnout and we are trying to fit in 4 more events here this year on the Viking Tour schedule.

We just called the last match in the 1st round. It's going to be a long day/night.

Stick, after you left they gave me a new nickname:

Jackpot-Janis.

Stick, c'mon you know. 3 Beautiful Golden 7's on a $4 spin. Paid 1199 -2- 1 for a Grand total of $4,796.00. Then I hit for another $550 trying to get the hand count up. Of course you know I have to collect it in merchandise

The Final 12 players in the event are:
Winners Bracket =

Matt Bulfin -vs- Ron Gilbert
Jason Stemen -vs- Roger Lewis
Bryant Walker -vs- Eddie Little
Stanley Lingerfelt -vs- Shane Wade

1-Loss Side =

John V
Tim McKay
Jeff Tabet
and either David "Southpaw" Shadden or Bruce Cope. They are playing the final match of the evening now.

Tomorrows matches start at 1pm.

Respectfully yours,

Jackpot-Janis

Question for you Mike..

How do you judge who is and who is not allowed to play in your amateur events?

Is a person who wins one of your open Viking tourns still allowed to play in your amateur events? Just curious on how you choose who is allowed to play is all.

lucky

The 9-12th place finishers are:

Jeff Tabet
David Shadden
John Visotsky
Shane Wade

Shane Wade (AZ name WADE) forfeited his match on Sunday resulting in a fine = to his participation bid in the auction which was only $20. The auction bidder/buyer was refunded his $20 from Mr. Wades winnings resulting in Mr Wade earning $40 for his finish instead of $60 after the fine costs.

Well, I fought hard. I lost my first match and came back to get 9th-12th. Not too bad for a 54 player field. It was a great tourney and as usual Mike and Terri did a terrific job...thanks both of you. And also thanks to Poppa Murph for having this event...the outdoor bar-b-q was great and the staff really is great.

When I left, Eddie Little and Jason Stemen (sp?) were playing for the winners bracket and Stanley Lingerfelt was playing Bryant Walker on the 1 loss side. These were the final 4.
