So at the moment I kind of just don't care. I was sort of wanting to not say this stuff. But I've changed my mind at the moment. I'm not naming names or anything. But the pool hall when the signs of let's go Brandon I would say the owner is very lazy. And I'd say stuff has not worked out that good. So the hours of the pool hall we're going to change. And well they changed for a little bit but they reverted back to their original hours the only difference is they're open on Sundays. So there's a change that didn't quite last. Also the pool room has two doors. And on each doors is the hours. But only on the front entrance has he actually changed the hours. The other door still says the old hours. On the Facebook page the hours changed. It looks like Facebook got hours from some website or something and they're the wrong hours and he has never changed them back in the last 3 months. even after I told him about the hours. And he was also talking about how he was going to have some fresh-made food. But that never happened. I mean there is more selection Of like candy and stuff. But the food is all the same fried frozen food. The guy would not turn on the heat even though several people complained that it was cold. And people would routinely wear jackets during the winter. The pool room owner actually yelled at a league player over Pool not like this guy was stealing and he told the guy to get out or anything there was an incident with pool and the owner possibly threatened the guy. One time I went in there and there were pieces of paper on a couple pool tables and a couple tables that said reserved. So I was playing on some other tables and I asked the owner why the tables were reserved. He replied that those were old signs from last night and they're not reserved and then he called me Curious George because I ask a lot of questions. One time I joked and was like so how much would it cost to spend the night here. He responded you got to be kidding tell me you're kidding who the hell asks a question like that. And I'm like yes I am joking. I mean sure it might not have come off as a joke but his response really was unwarranted. And when he's talking with friends every other word is a swear word. And I mean it's not like he's Whispering this you can hear him. An example one time he was like we are going to effing change the felt on the pool tables so it's not effing different colors it's all the same effing color we don't have like an effing rainbow of colors. I don't like to swear hence I didn't use the word but you can tell where the f word should be.

So if this makes sense to you guys I know it's kind of jumbled up. But if it makes sense what do you guys think? Laziest pool room owner?

Eventually they will find out about or see your posts here. You will slip up and provide just enough information that someone here figures out what business that is you are always trashing. You may show up one day and be asked to leave- consider this. It happens all the time.

You do not own the place. They do and get to make the decisions. An astounding number of pool players are afflicted with the need and desire to "manage" their favorite pool hall or become too invested emotionally in these places. Go somewhere else or stop playing if you dislike it this much.

You know I thought of the exact same thing when I was posting that post. But then it occurred to me that guy is so technologically backwards I don't think he'd ever come to a place like this. I mean he can't even fix the hours on Facebook. I find that incredibly stupid I mean I Google a place before I go to it click on the Facebook page and the hours tell me it's open when it's not. Or tell me it's closed when its open and I miss playing there or a go there and they're closed that would leave a really bad taste in my mouth for the business. Maybe it's a generational thing. But a lot of people my age will do that Google something look at the Facebook page to find out the hours. That way we don't waste our time money and gas driving to a place just to see if it's open.

That is no safeguard....some regular who also wants to "manage" the place will eventually help him or her see these things.

I agree, it sounds like a very lazy pool owner, unappreciative of his customers. The question then is, "what should your next course of action be?"
Here is the way I see it.

1). Stop patronizing his establishment. While a fairly obvious course of action, there could be some issues here, such as What other pool shooting options are there? It seems there could be a pool table thief out and about, and your favorite watering holes might not have pool tables for long. With the sad state of pool, I doubt there are very many legit pool halls within comfortable driving distance. Better wait on attempting this solution.

2). You could protest his establishment until he acknowledges that, yes, he is a lazy pool room owner. I mean just protest the living hell out of it. A sandwich board with a bullet point list of examples of his laziness is your best bet. Walking up and down the side walk, wearing your sandwich board, and ringing a bell like the Salvation Army Santa will get you best bang for your buck. A close second would be to get a cardboard arrow with "Lazy poolroom Owner" painted on it. Then stand on the sidewalk and twirl it around. Invent a little dance to go with it. The only problem is that you could be so effective in your protest, that other customers decide that they too believe he is a lazy pool room owner. They then might resort to number one from above. If enough people do this, the poolroom may close. Then you are back to the same problem of not having a place to play. Maybe number 2 isn't a great option either.

3). You could politely request a sit- down meeting with him during a slow time at the pool hall. I would then calmly and rationally lay out your grievances against him. Use specific examples. If possible, create an infographic with pictures and short, concise explanations of his actions that lead you to believe he is a lazy pool room owner. Don't forget to also offer solutions! Don't just drop the negative bomb on him, lift his confidence and outlook by offering real world solutions to his issues. Maybe even offer to spearhead some of the initiatives? Offer to circle back around at the end of the fiscal quarter to see if your ideas have made a positive impact on the business. Only problem with this option is you make the owner sound like a bit of a hot head. If he has temper control issues, you might be halfway through your list of grievances and find yourself being bludgeoned about the head and neck with a vintage Viking Cue from the pro shop. I can't in good conscious recommend this option.

4). Complain to an anonymous discussion forum on the interwebz. Great way to get pressing issues off your chest, this is. Although it may not win you many popularity points, it is probably your best option. I would treat it like a bandaid....do it quickly!. Don't put a ton of thought into trivialities like spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure...heck, don't even separate your thoughts into paragraphs...the sooner you can get it out and hit that "Post thread" button, the better you will feel about the whole situation.

Hope my thoughts have helped even just a little bit. I have never personally dealt with a lazy pool room owner, but I have dealt with a lazy McDonald's morning shift manager. She would routinely turn on the drive through 3-4 minutes late at least 2-3 times a week! Plus, when I ordered my bacon and cheese Mcgriddle (without the cheese, of course) I would say that 80% of the time I would have to pull that sandwich apart, remove the cheese and throw it out the window. And don't get me started about the lukewarm Mcafe' she would try to get by me fairly often. I tried 1-4 from above, and let me tell you, number 4 was by far the most successful. Good luck. I can't wait to hear how it turns out!

I have never met a pool hall owner that didn't like me. Same goes for the staff, everyone has always been nice, at worst neutral.
I don't tell them how to run the business, not much bothers me either. Most of them have gone out of the way to include me in all activities.
I'm there to have a good time. I pay the bills, cover my bets, and so on.

At worst, one owner who chased away a lot of clients with his negativity, he looked at me suspiciously for couple of weeks, but then warmed up. :)

New rule, not reading posts structured like this one.
What do you have against paragraphs?

Thank you for your response I think if I understand correctly you are patronising me. But that's okay this is the most helpful response I have gotten. And thank you. I was hoping other response would be like this. And yeah I would have demanded a free sandwich. I like to order the McGriddles but I substitute a round egg instead of the square egg. And so sometimes I have to return that because they put the wrong egg on it.

Sounds like the owner runs it his way & puts in just enough money to keep the lights on. It also sounds like you may not many other options in your area. I feel for you.

That's the place tho, right? Pics were July,'21. Not that long ago. Be glad i don't own the joint.

See JL?

You are screwed.

The CZAR of Gar is a magician at finding stuff on the internet. I would not be surprised if he could find a picture of the nickle on the sidewalk I saw earlier in my neighborhood.
