what kind of joint is it? what's the ferrule made of?
is 12.51 the tip size or diameter of the thinnest part of the shaft taper?

Is there any way to bump the weight up around 19 - 19.5 Oz? 17.8 is a little light for me personally.

This would make a great traveling cue when flying.
