i have two rare omega/dpks that i am looking to get a hi/low value for...
the jump cue has a super nice birdseye maple forearm, with "(omega greek letter) ugly stick" hand written on the forearm (i think they did this in sarcasm because every ugly stick i have seen has been a very nice looking cue), maple piano key ringwork at the joint and the traditional maple boxed ringwork at the butt that regularly borders the wrap on omega cues with the piano key ringwork....
scott murphy says this is the only one he has ever seen and i have had the same feedback from other dealers/collectors as well.
i know i have seen southwest jump cues go for $1000-1400 in the past...would that be considered somewhat comparable?? i remember being told at some point and time there are a dozen or more of these floating around...
so whats it worth??? how do you put a value on something like this which is highly possible to be a 1/1 from a group of cuemakers that supposedly only made 7-800 cues total....
mint original finish 5pt cocobolo into maple with 4 veneers and ivory piano ringwork...straight!! with two full shafts...
this is also a very rare cue in that it has a stamp in the end of the pin, which is supposedly 1 of 50....can anyone else here that can verify that info??? i know i have seen alot of omegas over the years and this is the only one i have seen with it.
anyways...looking for some input...i know its worth what someone is willing to pay for it
