6 ball drill/contest

AWESOME JOB

I've not seen the 6 made yet, but it did look like the video started and stopped, it needs to be continuous. Not doubting that you did that back to back, just helps for the others who may try.

BTW, you have ridiculous composure as well as a sick touch. You aren't hitting the ball hard at all, but it's like you have the cue ball on a string.

Last thing. On the last run, you had exactly what I like for people to have in this drill. The 5 and 6 didn't move, and you had to use high left (putting that side pocket into play) to get from the 5 to the 6. Really good work.

Did anyone think this would happen?

I think there should be some type of prize HaHa

Thank You
They weren't back to back, I wouldn't claim it to be also, just wanted to show the 6 off the break. and some practice runs

Well, no consecutive runs yet. I came very close a few times, especially between the first and second run ... I pulled together 3 of my runouts from last night after BCA league matches below...

Nice run, so you ran one and broke + made the 6.
You are in second place.

Couldn't see the shot on the 5, but I think you see why the 5 and 6 being where they are make this an interesting drill.

Wonder how much harder it would be to just barely unfreeze the 5.

I had another break and run + 6 on the snap that was posted earlier. 2 in a row seems to be my best for now.

For me, personally, having the 5 frozen makes it harder.

Couldn't run two in a row but I do have a hat trick of 6 ball breaks to show.

If I understand the rules correctly that's good enough. On the 4th rack I didn't think I could get from the one to the three so I tried that silly combo instead.

I didn't specify properly that it shouldn't count on the break (mainly because before the 2 of you shooting I had no idea it would even move).

Since I didn't word it properly, I will take care of both of you.

Please go to accustats or brehob (books) and pick out one thing.
As I asked in the initial post, please don't pick a collection. I'm just a guy who wanted to see others try and have fun with a drill.

It's all good. I had fun with it. Nothing else needed but thanks. Here's the weird thing. I was so frustrated at the end that I said "one more try and I'm quitting". That was the inning I got the three 6 ball breaks.

My stats were as follows

70 innings in an hour and 15 minutes while filming. Another about an hour not filming that I didn't count up.

31 dry breaks or scratch on break including breaking after a win

7 six ball breaks

11 run outs

The rest fails of one kind or another. Missed a lot of easy shots and was hooked off the break quite a bit.

There was one that really pissed me off after getting straight in on the 5 and too close to the rail. I missed pretty easy 6 balls 3 other times and 5 balls a couple other.

Enjoy the fail https://youtu.be/3hORX2owQU4

Please JC, go pick something out, and PM me what it was that you want and I'll have either Bob or Pat send it directly to you.

Thanks for trying the drill. I think that it really helps getting up and down table and a lot of times you really have to come with something on the 5 ball to get back up table.

It appears that you and poolplayher can already both play pretty well. Do you think this drill helps at all?

Thanks u12! It was fun for me too and as with any drill you try to conquer, discoveries were made. It was helpful especially for shots from the 5 to 6!

I found the breaking part of it to be very helpful in practicing the exact stroke I use for 9 ball. It was also tough to not have "heavy" arms for running out after so many breaks and so much emphasis on it. I moved the 6 ball most of the time or failed before the 5 so getting from end to end rarely came up. It's a tough drill for sure as I stated a month ago that it was unlikely anyone was going to post a very high score. I'm a fargo 607 and am sure a better player would have gotten out on a whole bunch of racks I screwed up on. But not enough to get more than 4-5 in a row unless you get to pro level or high shortstop. But I may be wrong again.

You and poolplayher already won, but I'd be interested to see how you would do on a bar table.

Also, after I get these 2 books out to you guys, I was thinking about doing one more where I put one more ball out there (maybe lose the "must make a ball on break" restriction, but place that ball on or near the side pocket point. The purpose being that you'd have to during the shots somehow figure out a way to move it because the point are so tough to make a shot in either corner pocket.
