First one is Brazilian Rosewood on Brazilian Rosewood with 6 veneers. Not sure what I'm going to do for rings yet.

Second is Curly Maple on Purple Heart (same board as the 2 purple heart cues, so it will brighten up). I have some slotted maple / purple heart rings made up for this and the 6 pointer. The inner most veneer is kind of deceiving in the photo. It's actually the same brown (Fruit Wood) as the double brown in cue number 5. In this photo, looks to be the same color as the points, but it's not.

Third is 6 Purple Heart Points on Birds Eye Maple with 4 Veneers. Will use the slotted rings with this one as well.

Fourth is 4 Purple Heart Points on Birds Eye Maple with 4 Veneers. Rings are still undecided on this one as well.

Fifth is 4 Ebony Points on Birds Eye Maple with 4 Veneers.

Sixth is 6 Afzelia Burl Points with 3 Veneers.

That's it for now. Have a few more coming soon then have to worry about finishing up some of these and the many others I have in construction.

Second and Third ones are for the same person. He said he wanted a break cue to go with the 6 pointer, but I don't want to make any cues without points, so I made this one. I like the second better than the third. It will look really good when that purple brightens up.

Love the cues

Tony,

I have really liked all of the cues you have posted. I have told everyone I know to check out your work here. I am currently trying to sell an early 90's Joss I have to start a cue fund. Is it possible to have a cue built? Only looking for an estimate so I know how much to save up, I really like the look of #5 with the ebony points and #1 with the Brazilian Rosewood.

Keep up the great work!

Mark

Very nice

Tony, your work looks better all the time. I know my good buddy Guycrunch is impressed.

Good luck with your future endeavors.

Tony I love your work, nice and classic. Please do not change anything you are doing, there are enough CNC wizards making cues today. Man I hope some day I can make it to your level!!!!!!! :)

Thanks for sharing man, all I can say is WOW!!!!!

Thanks for the compliments.

Manwon, I think you give me too much credit. I still have a long way to go. As for the CNC, I don't see myself desiring one anytime soon. The only reason I have considered one at this point would be for cutting shafts.

I have one of Chris's Inlay machines, but am still playing around with it. I hate to cut into a cue I've spent months on until I am satisfied with my tests. Hopefully some of the ones I have in progress will end up with Inlays.

#4

I'm currently working on one similar to #4. It's my first crack at doing veneers the mitered way. I've only done the stacked method. Anyway, it is 4 purple heart points into birdseye with a natural, light blue, medium blue, dark blue veneers. Not exactly the same but close. It'll probably end up in the wood pile though.

What are the veneer colors on #6, the Afzelia Burl cue.

They almost look like black/double brown/maple, but I'm not sure.

Looks really cool whatever they are though!

The Veneer colors on that last cue are either some peacock or turquoise shade (I have so many different blue shades and I'm not home to check), white, silver.

I've had tons wind up as firewood. Even after I was satisfied with the miter cuts, I had some issues with the glue up.

I would glue up single points and put them in some scrap wood until I was happy with the results.

My bad, I meant the cue above it. I guess it is #5. The ebony pointed, birds eye cue that looks like black/double brown/maple.

Is that correct?

tony, keep up the great work!!! i showed these to some people in chicago yesterday and they were really impressed.

#4

Here is the one I was talking about that is similar to your #4. I can see a few slight glue lines in mine but it was a good first try. i also meant for the darkest veneer to be the last one...oops.
