64" Cue

Burn all jump cues

For about 4 years I shot with a 60" cue because as I developed arthrities I can't get up on the table in strange positions anymore (not in bed either). I'm only 5' 6" and have short arms (got me out of boxing quickly). I just don't see a lot of shots right with the bridge and my speed is almost always off when I use the bridge.

About a year or more ago I bought a Cuetec R-360 and a Cuetec 6" extention for it. I started leaving it on after a shot until I finished the rack. The more I shot with it on the more I felt I shot better. I've been playing with it on (64" cue) for about 6 months and will never go back to a shorter cue.

If you have a cue that has a good extention that was made for it, try it out. I'm sure it's not for many, but it can be just right for some. Johnnyt

Earl said the same thing about his "javelin" recently...he said he couldn't understand why everyone wasn't doing it, it seems to work so well. How has the change in balance affected you? Sounds like you prefer it, whatever the difference...:)

I guess the balance worked out for me or I have no feel left. I know I run more balls in 14.1 just because I don't need to stretch very often. I've been playing 60 years, mostly with a 58" and this 64" feels like I've been playing with it all my life now. You have to have a good tight fitting extention or it's no good. Johnnyt

How is the cuetec extension designed? Is it solid? What type of joint? How much does it weigh.

agreed

agreed, i play better with a longer cue too.......until i have the cueball to close to the rail, having to choke up that much on a already long cue get's a little dodgy.

How are you playing pool for 60 years when you are only 50 years old? :D

Yes I agree with some close to the rail shots with no angle. I just change to my 58" Viking for those:). Johnnyt

It just screws into the butt of the r-360. It's hard plastic. Might have wood inside, i never gave it a thought. When you screw it on it looks like the end of a cue butt, not some sleeve that wobbles. Check it out on cuetecs website or any large billiard online store. Johnnyt
