7 hours without chalk!!!!

Hahah okies sorry been busy working on some projects... This is not chalk... This is a new formula for the Ki-Tech tips.... I made some changes to the chemical formulas and a few process changes....

I started playing with a friend of mine yesterday at noon... He had the balls racked and was in a hurry to get started when I walked in... I screwed my cue together and he broke and off we went.... 5 games of one pocket and several games of short rack banks later I looked at him and asked how many games we had played... he said 8 or 9 maybe... I showed him my tip and told him I hadn't even got the chalk out of my case and there was none on the table or anywhere... He keeps his chalk on him at all times so I adn't been subconsciously grabbing his....

We had been socializing and talking more or less the whole time and my phone kept interupting us so I really hadn't been concerned with a PSR or any type.... I decided I would keep going until I misscued... I misscued about an hour later but it was a horrrrrrible stroke.... And again about 2 hours later once again on a stroke that no chalk would have helped out on....

We quit at 7 and I still had not chalked and had been playing with draw and sidespin all day...

I had put the tip on last friday and it did have about 5 hours of play on it WITH chalk so not needing to chalk at the beginning of the session can be a little understood... I am going to hit the room again tomorrow and have a few other shafts fitted with the R&D tips... IF they have the same properties this wasn't a fluke... If they don't I have to figure out where the radioactive spider is in my shop that bit this tip....

what about Great White? i was all prepared to play the jukebox while we went head-to-head!

Hahah that would have been awesome... But the chalk is still in a holding pattern while I work out the QC, new molds, and processes.. I would have to say I was too gung ho on the first release and I do not want to make the same mistake twice...

Your message box is full...

Thanks for the 'Green'.

That is an artful picture. Did you notice that she is 'sitting' on a pedestal & is only wearing one shoe.

I found that...'interesting'.

Thanks Again & All the Best to You & Yours,
Rick

...or Terry...for 25 bucks, they "do a little dance, while they "chalk your tip"... and you're STILL in for a "buck fitty" LOL !:grin:

A great money maker.

You could have scantily clad chalk girls coming around the table selling swipes of chalk.

.25 cents a swipe.

Don't go anywhere sweet heart, I am about to make a run and am good for a buck fitty.

Good news/Bad news

Sales of your new tip will be great, but nobody will be buying your Great White chalk!

I've have played 5 hours no chalk myself to concentrate more on
hitting middle ball and using natural angles.
If I was trying to do table length draw shots for hours I would of miscued like
crazy.
Even when Kamui made there claims on there chalk, not needing
to chalk as often, the real serious players would never not chalk
in a serious situation.
Pool is about routine and consistency and chalkless tips were
experimented years ago and failed miserably.
Not saying your tip can't be played with without chalk, just don't believe
it would play the same as with chalk.

So, is your tip business going to kill your chalk business?;)

Not talking about center ball but being able to spin the ball within about 1 and a half tips without needing chalk.... I tried 9 ball today for about 5 hours it won't long draw shots or anything way out on the edge of the ball.. Really could not tell much difference otherwise... I recall 2 different chalkless tips that came out and both were 100% synthetic... These are treated leather and act like leather..... Will see how long they keep this property and weigh the benefits... Will see if they can exceed normal misscue limits or not but there will be time for that... 12 hours is just a tiny fraction of a tip's life cycle.....

i'm sorry! i didn't know. you're still invited to join us! but i'll have to turn the jukebox to Hair of the Dog. ;)
