70 ball run

1st rack

OK, being serious here for a second. Shooting that 14 ball in the upper right corner was the correct shot. The problem was, you did not get any draw at all. With some draw, the 10 ball would of been perfect to set up on that key ball in the side. On another note, the shot on the key ball was great. I love watching that type of English coming off the rail as it did. You landed perfect.

Pocket Billiard lessons

Thanks a lot Danny. My game room does tend to be on the warm side. And worse still my 860 cloth doesn't play that fast even when it is very dry.

I've been thinking about some professional instruction on and off for years. Do you see something specific in my game or shot making that you're thinking about or just some professional instruction in general?

Thanks again for the compliments.

Jim

I have my own system for aiming at the ball and it's a bit complicated to share in just a few sentences. I appreciate your ambition to want to improve however - if you lived near me I think eventually you would earn the right to be called Straight Pool Jim instead of 9ballJim.

Danny: Straight Pool Jim did a pretty good number on old Eddy Latimer when he was up in Chicago in January for at least the first two games:

I think Latimer finally got him in the third game.

Match #1

Thanks for posting Dennis. I watched the first match. Nice going Jim. Good match. Will watch the other two within time.

PS: Danny's right, you need to lose that "9ball".
