70's Merry Widow. Any ideas? ID help.

I bought this a year or so ago, had a tip put on it and it has sat in a case ever since. Any ideas.







Interesting double circle on the end of the joint pin


Trim ring is acrylic, not metal


Specs
28 5/16" even split
Joint is 15/16"
Joint trim is 17/32"
Pin extends out 13/16"
Ferrule is 3/4" long
Joint .855"
A-joint 1.11"
Below wrap 1.2"
Top of buttcap 1.258"
Buttcap 1.29"
Shaft is 4.1oz
Butt is 16.2oz

My guess would be Heubler, but a lot of those had flat-faced nylon inserts in the shaft joint, which this doesn't have.
 
It is an Asian cue. No Americans from the 70's and 80's would have bothered to sleeve stainless over brass to save a dollar or so. I personally think the cue is 80's or early 90's also instead of 70's. Sorry I don't have better news.

A local cue maker said he was buying these joints, I believe from atlas in the 80's when he started.

Not a cue esspert but the large Checked ring work reminded me of an old Huebler that I have. That was what ran thru my mind at first.

But obviously, the owner would have guessed that if he had seen an insert in the shaft.

So, my one guess doesn't count.

Nice cue anyway.
 
I still think it's a RICH cue. There is one on ebay now, but the ring work is different.

I think you may be right on the rich cue. On researching Rich cues, I believe that three of my "unknowns" are all Rich cues. Thanks for the info.
