No one said trust. I disagree with your assertion that they want to destroy the west. And no one said that any human rights abuses are ok. I said that what you call abuse they call normal management.
It doesn't matter what you care about. The fact is that China is a nation with 1.5 billion humans to deal with. And you clearly cared enough to do business there. No one forced you to.
And as you claim the government there is hard to deal with. Which is true because they are interested in what they think is good for China over what you think is good for you. Their bureaucracy is heavily layered and very dense. They respect hierarchies and any overstepping can result in heavy-handed shut downs. Corruption is prevalent.
Still, even so, they aren't interested in destroying the West.
And I disagree with your views on CCP China and their motives, that is ok to disagree.
I also have spent time working with them, I have a Chinese business partner in one of my companies as well, whose mother is a party member. He absolutely dislikes the CCP, with good reason.
I have seen and heard too many stories of oppressive behaviour to maintain control over the population and we welcome Chinese dissidents here in Australia.
You made an assumption on your next paragraph.
Let me correct that. Yes, I was forced to work with them as that was a decision made by the people I worked for.
Which funny enough backfired on them, as I warned them it would.
This was more than a decade ago now, and I use examples like this to change supply chain every chance I get.
I have no interest in supporting their manufacturing sector or economy.
Especially after their poor mismanagement of covid and their lies to the World.
I know what they think is good for China, the CCP is driven by the same ideals Russia once had and several other failed communist states. The Chinese living here who are still loyal to the CCP I know, would love to see the same approach everywhere in the World. I have had many open conversations on this topic with them.
It is no great secret really.
I do agree with you on corruption is massive in the CCP. Where you sit in the party determines how much of this equal share you get, the idea communism is supposed to be making everyone equal is a joke in reality.
I have also heard of business deals going south there where the party doesn't get a big enough cut, so visitors get thrown in jail for trumped up charges of trying to corrupt officials... when the same officials would have ignored a deal if their cut was larger.
Like I said, only a fool deals with CCP China expecting open and honest deals to be made.
Zero respect for copyright, trademarks and any intellectual property.
No respect for international law either.
Literally every country they share a border with they are trying to push into new territory.
They claim virtually all of the South China sea, which is total BS.
Sorry mate, but their goals and plans and their bait and trap belts and roads initiative is a planned and deliberate attempt at destroying the Western way by death from a thousand cuts.
Luckily, the best thing that came from their poor handling and lying from covid was the giant wake up call the World got with the stupid push to globalisation and outsourcing too much to one country. China.
Now we are seeing huge investment and time to correct this error in supply chain.
Biggest resurgence in manufacturing in decades in Western countries around the World.
Breaking the chains to China is the ultimate goal.
Ukraine has even helped as well, as CCP China has supported Russia in that resource grab of a war.
Why?
Because China has ignored sanctions put on Russia and has kept normal trade with them. Great, it again showed the World where their true alignment is.
So, let them trade with the less than 10 countries that are part of this new pact and the rest of the World can enjoy better quality with over 140 countries instead.
Your cases are good by the way.
Keep up with your manufacturing efforts to make them USA made.
Which, I assume all components of your cases are.
