8 ball barroom rules questions

I don't play snooker. Have only watched some on youtube. I don't know what a snooker type safety is. Can't you just describe what you did? You said "roll up my own ball." What does that mean? Sorry, not everyone on here is expert.
To "snooker" your opponent you would leave one of your object balls between the cue ball and his ball so your opponent cannot directly hit his ball

Rolling up on a ball is cool in snooker. Pool not so much. Different game.

Bar pool sucks, I always played by what ever the “rules” were, which can vary from rack to rack. I let the idiots hang themselfs. They can’t “out rule” me and win. I just play along with the bullshit and got the cash. I don’t miss that action.

Bar pool for me was punishment for losing at real pool and having to go rob drunks to get a bankroll put back together.

All in the past,

Fatboy

Take care in watching this video beyond the initial explanation…

The technique of raising the cue tip from beneath the cue ball, so as to avoid a double hit, is NOT legal in pool.
Neither is the intentional miscue. I'm surprised snooker allows those two techniques.
