It is
the only way I practice 8 ball by myself, and have for years, and I call it
'Dakota 8 ball'.
And if I play someone for a money set that I know is better than me, I always steer them towards this game. Why? Because I practice it, they don't. They know they are considered the better player and therefore won't turn down the challenge, their egos won't let them. I take them 'out of their element' which increases my chances of winning, especially with them going through a 'learning curve' of the game.
It definately helps your normal 8 ball game, your 9 ball game, your Rotation game, and probably some of your 14.1 game.
I believe it should be the next evolution for 8 ball.
I might add that I am the 2003 Kansas State BCA 8 ball champion when I was 55, and my team won the team championship.
