Thanks for the info. Umm... what tourney was this? where was it held? what pool room and what city?
 
MO RIVER PUB AND POOL, Millersburg, Mo, 10 minutes from Columbia ,Mo. We have tourneys every 2nd (8 ball) and 4th (9 ball) saturday of the month. It is our in house tourney, sponsered by us with TAP rules.

Been a long time, but isn't TAP rules where you cannot play an intentional safety?
 
Sounds like a great little tourney...wish you were a little closer.

tap rules allow any and all safties, call pocket, no slop,
in my opinion tap has the best rules, 8 ball early is a loss, 8 on break is a win, call all pockets for each ball made! very defensive game in our league!!! you learn to play very smart. most of our players are not the best ball makers, but defense look out, they will hang you quick. makes you think alot!! its more challenging if you ask me.
