8 ball WWYD

I’m slow rolling the 5-ball to the far point and trying to freeze whitey on it when it bounces back.
For the guys who like power follow, it won’t work at that angle.
I was thinking you might be right. I’m getting ready to try this option on the simulator. My first thought was that it would be doable for Efren level players, not sure about us mortals.

Update edit; You were right, it didn’t work for me, not even close.

As you can see in 2nd pic. I already put my stick away.😉
From looking at your break track worn into the cloth it looks like you break from dead center only.

I’m a 4-6” to the left or right kind of breaker. At least for 8B and 15.

Do you ever use the side rail break for 9B?

@ anybody,
If you look at the 5 ball pic, you have close to a quarter ball that will go under the tit. This looks to give you 10, 20 degrees to get headed toward the 6. You can also go up and around 3 rails for short side on the 6 without too much pocketing risk. I'd pick this one. If you're Corey Deuel, you can draw the ball instead. :D

Another option might be a cross side on the 6. That, would be easier to get to than short side. Depends on how big the zone for the 8 is.

Straightline, Howdy; Which number RM shot would that be, specifically?

hank
The side pocket force hook shot. That one might be out of spec in this situation. The problem I have with that shot regardless is it rarely comes up and getting to the 6 that way would be in my guessing zone.

straightline, Howdy;

Ok, #69, aka The Hook. Shows CB going straight to rail about
1.5 to 1.75 diamonds off the long rail. IF, done the way RM sez. chuckle, who does that?
My thought of the carom shot was based on RM's shot # 43.

I can't find my copy. Which one's your shot?

That is a joke but it actually could be a decent safe here now that I’m seeing it. All you leave opponent is a bank at the 15 or a combo offensively if played right.

That’s not right in the middle. Middle doesn’t feel right. More 8 than 9 gets played on table. Sometimes I break over a little more but Cb tends to scratch in the side a lot from there with the speed I hit it.

Can’t remember last time I broke anything from side rail. I know the breaks but don’t use them. In APA if I B&R a rack I might break from side for the possible mini slam, but that’s only because I want the patch.

I would draw it with low left out of the corner 2 rails off the 5 and get perfect on the 6 in the corner.... But that's just me.
