Hello,Thank you for offering your time to answer our questions.
My game is bartable 8-ball. I know it is essential to get good position on all the shots. When I want to go at clusters? Is it critical to bust them out first even though risking a miss from throwing alot of spin to launch at them? What is your plan of attack to get heavy shape off a pocketed ball? Do you have any cluster destruction practice advice? Also how do i not get all psyched out from being on a easy to medium cut 8-ball after breaking and running hard shot after hard shot? This is bothering me. Also what kind of cues do you like to use?
Thanks

Myself, I like to go into the balls, and if the balls are laying tough, I will try to leave a ball near the hole. When I am looking at the table, I try to see one shot that I need to make in order to get out, and then if I don't get the proper shape, then I go to defensive 8-ball. It's always nice to be able to get the balls all broken out. Sometimes too many of them get tied up on them bar tables.

As far as getting psyched out, you don't want to think like that. You should want to get to the 8-ball and not be psyched out about it when you get there. It's mind over matter. You need to shake out the jitters before you step up to the table.

I've always had good results with Schons myself, but I am playing with a nice Bobby Hunter now. What I like in a cue is a lot forward balance, a skinny butt, and long tapers. And I like to nickel my tips.
