I drove a long way to purchase an 8' Gold Crown III for $400.00. it had a lot of tarnish on the anodized aluminum parts so i painted them. their new dog chewed the base so i bondoed it and painted it pearl white. the feet and corners are gold xirallic black. it's going to be a thing of beauty when i get it finished BUT when i was pulling the slate apart, the bondo chipped some of the edge of the head-slate. i was hurrying.... it really pissed me because otherwise the slate was perfect. so i need some advice on repairing the edge of the slate where it meets the center slate. it's about 1/16" deep by 1/4" wide by 3" long. i've used JB Weld before and it worked well but not fantastic. it's the same color of the slate so that's a plus.
thanks!
