8 or 9' cue for 6' by 12' snooker table

It doesn't seem like anyone in the US sells cues that long for some reason. I've seen them here but when I look on the web, all they have are regular length snooker cues, unless you buy from England, Canada, or Australia. Even Canada doesn't have the selection that the UK does. Probably your best bet here is to get one of those cue extension things that slides over the butt of your regular cue. Also Lucasi sells a jump/break cue that has an extension that unscrews at the butt making it about 8" longer. I have one and it works pretty good on a 10' table. Another thing I haven't been able to find are longer bridge sticks. I know one of the big on line dealers here in the US sells John Parris snooker cues. Maybe if you gave them a call they would be able to hook you up. Sorry I couldn't be more help. It's a conundrum for us erstwhile snooker players on the wrong side of the big pond.

Cuestix (Colorado) sells a line of Action cues named 'Athena' that has a screw-on extension that makes the total length 66",,,,if you want to jump up in price, Mezz sells cues with a similar extension as the Action brand,,,jflan

That's a far cry from 8' or 9'

Dr. Cue ...

used to have a super long cue he used during exhibitions.
Someone here in Wichita years ago had a novelty 8' cue.

I havn't seen anyone ever use an 8 or 9' snooker cue. Most European players shoot with a 57-58" cue (mine just happens to be 57.5") and then have the available slip on extension. Muellers has one of these but I've never boughten one being 6'2" and usually playing on just a 10' table I dont need it.

Now as far as the huge bridge sticks, I havn't ever seen any of those from anywhere close to buy. You'll probably have to try somewhere from over the pond ... find out who is the big 12' snooker table maker over there and get in touch them. I'm sure they can hook you up.

Search online

I have a long bridge and bridge cue that are both 84" I want to say. I ordered them offline. I know the company was in England. The cues didnt cost too much about $60 plus shipping to get them sent to the USA. I dont have it bookmarked anywhere so I cant include a link. Do a search for "ash snooker cues" or "ash snooker bridge" ..things like that and I am sure you will find it quickly. I had our cuemaker Jim Buss fix the tip because the one sent on the cue was pretty bad. Like cardboard if I remember correctly. Good luck and good hunting.

Anyone know who sells these?? Tried posting on the wanted board and came up empty.

Here is one for sale. (I can’t buy it ...all my money is currently tied up in a tank of gas)

Price is about 2 million (US) but it comes with:

- (14) pool tables most of them antique
- (2) 6x12 snooker tables
- liquor license
- building
- 8 months of winter
- diverse family of customers and a turn key “Cheers” atmosphere

...very little house keeping as the resident sex offender/ POS just went back to the slammer for a few years.

The cue in question is to use for the really long bridge shots. I don't know how common they are in Europe, but every time I've played snooker in Europe and the UK (which ain't many times), there's been one available, usually under the table where the long bridge is.
