Yesterday I had the pleasure to have our own 8ballEinstein over for a visit. He was in my area when he call and asked if he could over. I was delighted to have him over.

We played a few games of one pocket and it didn't take him long to adjust to my table. It was a pleasant visit with some enjoyable conversation. He showed me a few shots that I had never seen before. The type of shots that actually come up in a game. Ernie is a wealth of information.

A while back he had given me a Barber half-dollar as a memento of our friendship. I treasure it and am looking for a display case for it to showcase it in my home room. Ernie, next time reserve some time so that you can stay longer. Thanks for the visit.

Good player, real nice guy.

I should of asked him to show me some stuff when I lived in San Diego.

Visiting "the Barber"

Since I've had plenty of business in LA recently, I've been doing the rounds and visiting several AZ'ers. A couple of weeks ago, it was Fatboy (2) in Santa Monica. Last week it was Crown City Corey at his new shop in Pasadena. Yesterday took me to the legendary Frank the Barbers place in the Inland Empire.

On short notice I called Frank and told him I was nearby and asked if he was free to meet up. He said, "come on over and we'll shoot some pool" - just what I was hoping to hear!

It was my first visit to his home room and if you've seen the posted photos of it, you'l have to agree it's a players dream.

Over the many years I've known Frank I think we've played all the various games except One-Pocket. So I proposed we play that game. Realize, he's mowed me down in everything else so I figured why not try him on my favorite game. Turns out, he can mow me down at 1P too. But at least I showed some level of brain activity on a few shots that came up.

Frank, thanks for having me over. I look forward to doing it again in the near future.
