wish we had noticed the tournament announcement,we came up from nc to play cards in dover sat night. drove thru downtown georgetown and saw a packed poolroom, never knew their was a poolroom in georgetown. saw josh brothers standing outside, and i knew their had to be action in there for him to be there. came back thru sunday afternoon and went inside to check the place out. guy working inside was real cool and told us what we missed out on. said there was 19 players, and they had a calcutta. said josh won, also said an older guy came down from smyrna that shot strong. this place has the feel of the older poolrooms from back in the day that had action all the time,no matter your level of play. i will definately be looking for future posts of tournament announcements here,it'll be a nice lil break on my way up to dover

It is a very nice establishment. 8 tables, the colth a little worn like they been rode hard, but they rolled true and the rails were lively.

It was a great first effort for a tourney. They were late to kick it off, starting after 3, and the tables were idle longer than they should have been between matches. Once they get the feel for things, they'll go a lot more smoothly. We used 6 of the 8 tables for the tourney. Vinnie and I left after he took third. It was more than an hour drive for us and I got home just after midnight.

Josh turned in a solid performance and Charlie was no slouch either.

It was a whole lot of fun. The room is friendly, and the sportsmanship of the participants was exceptional. It was definitely worth the trip.

I agree….. Nice old style home town pool room. No drama, just pool. Been there a quite a few times in the past month or so trying to practice, I met the owner on Saturday for the first time nice guy, just wants to have a friendly pool room and seems to really enjoy his customers. I finished empty handed but stayed to watch the action with Josh Brothers. The last rack was tense. You could hear a pin drop on the carpet.
Had a fun time and I hope they have more of tourneys there.

what should next tournament b

I think we should take a vote on what the next tournament at choice billiards should be. 9 ball , 10 ball, or 8 ball. I'll pass the word to the owner after a week and we will set it up.
