9-Ball TV Game

What do you guys and gals think of this for TV? Have 5 players compete each week. To take away the luck and skill of the break in 9-ball have each player pick a card with ball patterns on them. Each card has at least one cluster that needs to be broke up. The player gets ball in hand to start with. You miss once that round is over for you. You could even have odds on each card for degree of difficulty…maybe 2/1 to 5/1. If you run out a 5/1 card you get 5 points or $500 or $5000. The player with the most points or money at the end of the rounds (each player gets 5 turns maybe) wins and come back the next week with 4 new players.

Boy I really like part of this idea. How about a challenge to find out who is the better pattern player. Reyes vs Bustamante Have them each try to run out the same exact patterns. 15 different layouts and they can't see how each other tried to do it. Whoever runs the most racks wins the money. It wouldn't decide who the better 9ball player is because the break is so huge in 9ball but it would defenitely be cool.
