Just aquired a great used Diamond pro 9 ft table that has to have new rail cushions and the pockets are really big for a pro table, 2 balls plus 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch in the corners. I need to know the correct way to tighten these pockets till 2 balls will jamb into corner pockets tight. I think the fellow installing for me said that he would put thicker rubber facings to do this but I think it will make table play funny and I think I heard that the right way is leaving the rubber longer. Where is Realkingcobra when I need him? Leonard

I'm SURE that you don't want thicker facings. I think I'd contact Diamond about buying a new set of cushions and have them do the work.

Of course realkingcobra is the man to talk to.. as you know.

(thought I posted this before but it's not here so ?? )

Yea I talked to Realkingcobra on hear a couple times and it is a long way from his location, Diamond wanted $600 labor to move table 5 miles and install rails and cloth plus cloth and $275 artemus rails and they are setting up a new Diamond proam at my friends house that is selling me the pro so Diamond would have been taking the pro out anyway. It is more than I think I can swing right away with buying table two. Thanks Leonard

I just flew into Louisville, KY tonight about 12:30am, heading back to Vegas tomorrow, then up to Washington State delivering pool tables. It would be cheaper to take the rails off, take them apart, transport them to Diamond for the tightening of the pockets...BUT, I'd check with Brian as to when the best time for this work to be done as they're running around right now like mad because of the Valley Forge Expo.
