9ball Racking.

GUYS, the best thing to do, is to always have the crazy glue handy, so if there is a space, dropp a little, and should be good, lets see if the other guy breaking will make a ball.:D:D:D

They just need to create a new rack, one that beeps when the balls aren't touching. The roadrunner rack...b beep b beep. And after the third beep it says no cheating b!tch.:D

So your in favor of guys pattern racking, gaping balls?Thats good pool?

Did I say that?

I'm in favor of people talking less when playing pool, sitting in their chairs when guys are playing good, and shutting the F up. I hope that answers your question. I like 10 ball, and I like alternate breaks too, but that is beside the point. The point is, if there is a rack your own, winner breaks tournament (fine by me).... get ready for a guy to actually play some good pool on you. That is what we spend countless hours practicing to do, isn't it?

I imagine the magic rack solving alot of problems at non pro events.
Faster matches with less arguing, everybody likes that. Bad tables suddenly break well. Loser breaks, or alternating would mean no stringing racks too. No rack your own, so pattern racking would become defensive. If thats still too easy, rack the 9 on the spot. Problem is, magic rack wont sponsor any tours the way a bigger company like delta would(or sardo back in the day).

No not exactly and your point is well taken but the FACT is guys are out there jacking with the rack.Sitting in the chair wont solve it either. Its kinda pain in the a$$ when you got to check the guys racking every time. But that is the only cure.

rule changers

I will always be for rack your own. Its when they try to change that rule to 9 ball does count in the bottom 2 pockets. They have tried to do that in my small town and in a bigger open tournament in a bigger city 2 hours away where they got 50+ players. It didn't seem to bother but a few people but I couldn't believe it. Why did they even play the rule then. Maybe it's just me:confused:

I played a major event years ago that used the sardo and was alternate breaks. My opponent bade (not bade, made) the wing ball 3/3 times and ran out. 2nd time, I noticed the ball didn't even touch the cloth on the way to the pocket. 3rd time, I forgot to check the rack and wing ball did the same as the previous 2 times. Rocket to the pocket.

Next time he broke, I made sure I stood next to the table to aid in remembering to check the rack and guess what...bigass gap behind the 3rd row. You got 3 guesses as to whether the gap was behind the ball that kept going in...it was.

I pointed it out and he fixed it. I checked the rack every time after that and it didn't go again.

I end up losing hill-hill. He broke first.

Did I lose coz of the rack issue? I am inclined to say I did, even though I did have errors in the set.

Rack your own with your opponent having the ability to check the rack and force a rerack if there is an obvious issue.

Magic rack avoids all these issues.
