Looks great. I'm really looking forward to getting my 7 foot Diamond very shortly (hopefully next week). I unfortunately don't have enough space for a 9 footer in my garage.

Nice table! I bought a Olhausen 8' Grand Champion III. I really like it. But if I could do it over again I think I would have bought a Diamond.

Very nice! When the time comes for me that is the same model I plan on buying...enjoy!

Same table in my house. One small thing, if you allow the sunlight to shine daily on that side of the table, eventually the wood will become a lighter shade than the rest of the table. Basically it will be bleached. Happened to one corner of my table and I'm still looking for the right stain to restore that original look. No big deal, just thought I'd mention it to you since I see the bright sunlight coming in.

Behlen medium red mahogany was really close when I redid my diamond pro rails. See my thread about it in the mechanics section.

What table did you replace when you put your diamond in? It looks like a bar table was there before. That's a nice good looking room you have it in too. I planned on doing my pool room close to the way yours is with the all wood look.

My first table was a Olhausen 9fter with accufast cushions, ball return and 4.5" pockets. There is no comparison. Get the Diamond when the opportunity comes up, you won't regret it.

very nice room! i'm hoping to have a 9ft pro-am before the year is over with too.

what size pockets did you go with?

I have a cherry-stained maple Diamond Professional. When I asked Aaron, at Diamond, which stain to use if I want to finish furniture to match it, he recommended Minwax “Red Mahogany 225”. If that doesn't match, you could try calling Diamond and see if they have other recommendations.

Same thing he told me less than a week ago.

Great table!

This is what Brian at Diamond told me as well.

Turned out to not match very well at all, so I had to start over from scratch and sand all that #225 right off.

If you like blue, then you should certaintly have blue cloth. it just seems to me that I never see a Diamond with green cloth. I don't get it. I couldn't imagine having a table with anything but green cloth.

Why? Because green is the most pleasing color to human eyes. Grass is green, leaves are green, most plants are green; hell, everything outside is green. Human eyes have thusly adapted and warmly welcome the color. That's why traffic lights are red, yellow, and green.

Red is the most alarming and menacing of the colors and most effective in ordering a driver to stop. When the red light appears, it appears to say, "STOP YOU MORON! CAN'T YOU SEE THERE ARE CARS CROSSING IN THE OTHER DIRECTION! When the green light appears, the driver feels comforted. The green appears to say, "It's now
your turn, Sir. By all means, please proceed, drive carefully, and have a nice day."

I don't know exactly what blue signifies psychologically. I mean - I have nothing against blue and as I said; if you want blue you should certainly have blue. It's just that I'll bet I've played this game for 10,000 hours, and I've found, and I think most posters will agree with me on this, that this game can be extremely frustrating at times.

I firmly believe that during these periods of frustration, the only thing that has prevented me from going off the deep end is the calming effect of the green cloth on my human eyes. Somebody knew what they were doing when the made pool cloth green.
