all we did care about was finding a dead and dry log to put fire, no special kind of :grin: If I were to spend a couple of months nore there I might have started thinking of a pool table, but for that time we entertained ourselves with backgammon only.

oh no that far, I was near Volga river. You are right about birches being our "brand" tree but none of them were around. And they give juice in early spring
