Many of the places I play at here in the Philippines are not in an air conditioned environment. The humidity can get pretty high. I usually use Brunswick or Masters chalk and many times the high humidity makes it difficult to chalk my cue properly.

I was thinking of trying Blue Diamond chalk but I guess I should find out from you guys which chalk if any is known to stay dry in a humid environment?

From what I've been told, performance chalks, most notably Kamui have been designed to combat the problem of chalk getting too dry when humidity is very low. If you are having problems with chalk that is too wet, I don't think a different chalk will help you. You could always just try keeping a cube of masters and keeping it in a plastic bag with one of those silica packets that come with various snack foods like pringles.

Part of the reason I feel the Pinoys are battle tested. The environment, the crappy equipment in most places, and the Asian gambling culture. LOL. You're issue is not with the chalk. I'm sure you could secretly replace the chalk with any pro, and they wouldn't notice at all, or it wouldn't noticeably affect their play.

Ha, ha...I was thinking the same thing.

You could put the chalk in a sock then put it in the clothes dryer for a while.

I have washed chalk by accident, then run it through the clothes dryer and it still worked okay. :)

Guess a jar of blue crystals might work too.
