Here's a couple I've been doing lately.
Not-so-straight-pool:
Rack all fifteen balls. Break 'em however you want. Whatever goes down stays down. Scratch is allowed on the break. Take ball in hand if you want or need to. Run all the balls, call pocket. If you get out, you get one point, re-rack, repeat. If you miss, no point, start over. I recently beat my previous record of two consecutive points, and scored four in a row. I was proud that I am improving. Good drill for finding patterns, breaking clusters softly and successfully, and concentrating on every shot. I find that when I fail to run out, it's usually due to missing an easy shot.
Next drill:
START(
%AO1[0%BO1U9%CH8I3%DN9I0%EN9O6%FI1U9%GI0O5%H[2\5%I[4B5%JO0C8
%KC7O5%LC8I1%MC9V0%NH7Z9%OH7C9%PV6Q2
)END
http://onepocket.org/table/pooltable2.html
Place the balls in the grid pattern shown. Ball in hand to start. Pocket all balls without touching any of the other balls. Good drill for VERY soft touch shots, soft down the rail shots, drawing and following softly off the rails, soft stun and draw, finding patterns that work without disturbing other balls. My best on this drill is about four of twenty attempts, but I'm still trying.
Just thought I'd share. I'm not a very good player..........YET, and I hope these may help someone out.
Peace
