A couple more insufferable ?'s

I just pulled the trigger this morning on my "comeback" cue and a couple of tip tools. No. it's not a custom and no it's not an expensive one. It's just something that I can use to get back in form while I decide what I want as a player. This Player SP will then become my break cue till I know enough to choose a better one.

Here's the ?'s:

If you were only allowed 1 billiard magazine, which would it be?

What products do you use to maintain your shafts? Slicker, cleaner etc.

If you don't use commercial products, what do you use?


I've been looking and this is still the best forums I've found.

little amount of 90% rubbing alcohol on a paper towel for cleaning
dark colored microfiber towel for wiping down during play

Q3 - If you don't use commercial products, what do you use?

willards tip shaper (dime radius)

Rubbing alcohol (90%+) and a lint-free towell, willard shaper, random piece of leather to burnish shaft.

I subscribed to Billiards Digest for a year or so and liked it, but found I could get all the info and updates in the pool world right here on AZ. The price of a few featured articles each month wasn't enough for a $30 or so annual subscription.
 
Questions

Magazine=Billiards Digest, although AZB has replaced it.

Cleaning shafts= Orange (Kroger product), paper towels, use Pledge after that.

Slicker = Leather burnisher from Jack Justis.

Tools = Only use TipPik Shadow (fits on keychain). Do keep a little sandpaper in case for tip touchups.

Websites = Pooldawg, Billiard Warehouse, Muellers, Platinum

This very well could have been my post. I'm pretty much in agreement with these answers, only I sometimes use a Magic Eraser pad on my shafts.

What I like about Seybert's is the "Seybert's Bucks" you accumulate when purchasing things , instead of a free Q-Claw or Chalk Holder or a 1B1S Hard Case, etc. Adds up after a while and then you can buy yerself somethin' for nothing!!!

I also like Ozone, Pooldawg, Platinum Billiards, and Muellers.
