A couple of meuccis

more money than sense...

Cue number one: asking 300.00, or best offer, must sell, so don't be shy...

cue number two: also asking 300.00 OBO, same applies...

First cue is a Meucci Originals OL-1, has been repaired and refinished, (woulda been nice if the person who sold it to me told me that... ) comes with original 25 year old shaft that has become somewhat wobbly to say the least, and newer replacement shaft that actually hits better than any meucci shaft I've played with. the new shaft old butt combo has a delightful hit. pics say the rest...

second cue is an m-9 "the hook" cue. This cue has seen very light play since new, and is flawless in condition. A true collectors cue, only been stored as long as I've owned it. pics say a thousand words.. so here they are....

I have misplaced my calipers in a move, and didn't get the scale out to get exact weights, but if there is serious interest with need for
the information, I can see what I can do about digging one up. My PM box here fills quickly at times, and is a PITA to clear when using a
mobile device, so for the best response calling 970-988-9965 or send email to grateful_yonderer@yahoo.com

You say the OL-1 "has been repaired and refinished." Please explain/describe the repair(s).

Looks like part of the forearm has been replaced. See the line right above the points?

chuck is right. When I bought the cue, I was sold a cue that was "in near mint condition", what you see is what I ended up with, live and learn I guess... It appears that the forearm broke at some point and was repaired with a spliced in piece of wood. The grains and wood colors match up pretty well, but after discussing it with a couple of cue makers through these forums, have reached the conclusion that this is as good as the repair can be done without a full rebuild of the forearm. None of this was disclosed to me at the time I purchased the cue, and fortunatly for you, I cannot return that sort of favor.

as far as the refinish goes, in order to complete this type of repair, the finish must've been re- applied, at least to the forearm, and the clearcoat is actually in very good shape.

The repair is plainly visible in the pictures. I understand the effect that this has on the value or potential value of this cue, and will take that into account when determining what the meaning of "fair" in "fair offer" is...

thanks,

Dave

Meucci OL-1

Man just wondering were you bought it. I had one about 15yrs ago. That I broke just like that. I had it fixed at a place in Dallas,Tx called Bowling & Billards on Ross Ave. The stick was stolen from me about five years ago. Just brings back memories. That stick had some good action in it.

wireball, this was an ebay purchase a while back, and I can probably dig up the sellers info to ask them the same question if you are interested.

I know the damage and repair affects the value of this cue, (wish I had know about it, or I wouldn't have put so much money into this one...), so make me an offer you think is fair, and someone can take this one home cheap...
