A cue my buddy made

My buddy found a piece of wood on the beach resembling that of a 6x6. He made a cue out of it. After doing some research we found that it may have come from the H.M.S John which was a shipwreck of the coast of Corolla North Carolina. Near the butt you can see the hole where the pegs would go before they used nails or bolts. The boat went down in 1652.

The first pic is exactly like the piece he found.

That Cue is badass. I will look up the history of the ship later. Truly one of a kind! I have been working on something remotely similar, It is a cue made from Oak Barn wood. Thanks for the pictures.

Here is a link where the H.M.S. John is mentioned.

The piece of wood on the wall was studied by historians and they said that it was most likely from the HMS John. The piece that my buddy found looked exactly like this and was found in the same area so we are assuming that it could have also been from the same wreckage.
