A Curious CTE Diagram

Aha... Bob agrees with my take on what the "shot line" and "aim line" represent:

In the ghost ball system the shot line/aim line are the same because the activity is to identify the ghost ball center and then aim at it and shoot at it.

That line however points to a non-existent place. IF there were a physical representation such as the dotted circle in the 2d diagram then the line would be represented correctly with two points. However ghost ball asks the user to imagine a physical object and then connect to it.

Thus any aiming done this way can be perfectly accurate or horribly wrong and anywhere in between.

The efficacy of such is testable. No one is invested enough to undertake that project. Far easier to argue the abstract points with little to no data backing them.
