Bryan- you seem to always put these on eBay. Do you have any dealers? Do you go to Cue Shows or Expos anywhere? It seems like the only place to get a BCM cue is your website or eBay, anywhere else?

Zim

Hi Michael:

I do not have any dealers and have yet to debut my cues at one of the big shows. I may be able to do a show next year if my schedule permits. I have been very busy with my cue making lately but would like to do that.

I have been contacted by dealers in the past but never struck a deal for various reasons...

I can't offer generous discounts due to the fact I have my retail price set lower than most. This hurts me when negotiating with dealers.

I can't make up the discount by doing more volume. My processes are efficient but I can only produce about 70 cues a year. The quality I am looking to produce will not allow for more than that.

I really like having the direct contact with my customers and passing the savings on to them.

Many cue makers will have a high mark up on there cues only to get a decent price after the discount. I would rather not do that.

At this time the only other place to get one of my cues is the second hand market.

Thanks for the info Bryan! I guess I know where to go when I'm ready for one of your cues, to you, of course!

Thanks,
Zim

Zim,

On EBay it says all three retail for $980 each.

Great work Bryan!!!

Dave

That's a reasonable price IMO. I don't see to many pins like that, what size is it, does it have a special name? Is the butt cap, joints and ferrules made of ivory, if not what material?

Thanks,
Zim

Nice work Bryan.
The pin appears to be a 3/8 10 variety.
I would guess it's a custom made one with an unthreaded wall in the middle and a short threaded bottom.
The white collars appear to be aegis or lbm to me.

The specs are listed on EBay right below the pictures. It says the material used is grice. Not too sure what that is?

Hey Bryan,
Could you let me know what kind of material grice is?

Thanks,
Dave

It's a mixture of goo and rice.:p
Maybe Bryan has proprietary material.
Great finish btw Bryan. I'm guessing car finish.

Bryan...
about time you got your cues out there where the "World" can see your fine cues.........and workmanship...

Jackson

The joint pin is a common 3/8-10. I buy the threaded rod then cut, face, turn & polish it. I spent a lot of time at the buffing wheel to get that nice bright finish on the stainless steel.

The ferrules, joint, and butt cap material are grice. Grice is a thermoset plastic similar to aegis 2. It yields a slightly softer sounding hit. Grice is a very durable material that I have yet to see fail in a cue. On a side note I am interested in a new material call MCB or Melamine Cotton Base that I may be trying out in some future cues.

Thanks for for the compliments on the finish. I take great pride in all aspects of my work, especially the finish. It is a premium automotive urethane enamel. I think a gallon was over $300 but it goes a long way.

The camera I have been using is the Sony DSC-F717. It's a great camera but it helps that photography has been one of my hobbies for the last 20 years. :)

Nice to see your post Jackson. Thanks for the support. Jackson was the first guy to introduce me to South West Cues. It was not long after that when he sold me one. It was a fine cue and generous deal on your part Jackson. TY

Thanks again guys for the supportive remarks.

The Sony DSC F717 is a great camera. My friend has one (and an external flash) and he loves it.

Good luck with your eBay auctions.

Railway track silver ringwork is my personal favourite on cues :)

Cheers,
