A Game I'd like to See! Suggestions?

I've been working on a game format that I think would be ideal for television.

There would be several options, but this is one that I think would work quite well:
-------------------------------
6 Players start Ring Game like format.

Similar to Killer but with 2 shots per visit, not just 1 and players start on 21 points or dollar amount such as $5,000 each. I'll use points based on 21 for simplicity here.

Players each draw a secret ball and secret pocket before the game, as in Kelly pool.

Game is won by potting your secret ball in your secret pocket.

On your first shot you must pocket a ball or else you lose 1 points which goes to the previous shooter. If you miss the first shot it's end of visit. If you miss a ball on the second shot, you also lose a point.

You can win the game by pocketing your opponent's secret ball in their secret pocket, but you must nominate this, and if you miss the shot or make it and you guessed wrong, you lose 2 points which go to that player.

When you win the game, you get all 3 points put in by the players at the start of the game and they lose their 3 points.

Players eliminated as they run out of money / points.

Last two players must play all in, for a dramatic and fast finish.

This game has several advantages:
1. Attempts to make big pots.
2. Attempts to go for great positional shots.
3. All players watching the others for clues.
4. That secret factor so the viewers can study the bluffing.
5. At least a couple in each match that you want to root for.

I've also considered a one shot option for this game, with no secret pocket.

I would appreciate comments / insights into how the game would play out.

Cheers all,
Colin

i got one....i think it would be a great game that would challenge all three disciplines,,,pool, 3C, and snooker.....

it's called 2ball and i first read about from george fels.
1...two balls and the cb
2...ob's are spotted at both spots on the table with ball in hand to start.
3...to score a point you CAN ONLY pocket one ball and carom the cb into the other. there is no other way to score, no combos, no carom first etc etc.
4...balls are respotted in their proper spots after a pocket.
5...you always play the cb where it lies except for scratches, which is played cb in hand.

it is an elemental game of pool in its purest form that, as the game progresses, will require extraordinary pocketing and position skills. in this game,,,i believe there is no advantage to being a disciple of one particular cue game.

i would love to see efren vs o'sullivan vs blomdahl !!!

it also can become boring as hell !!

This is giving me a headache. Too complicated for a pool player and brain dead beer drinker to understand.

I think that a non pool playing viewer that cannot understand regular 9 ball would be totally confused.
