Pretty cool podcast about Danny Basavich's book. This is from the perspective of a North Carolina league player, but he seems to understand the dilemma of pool's righteous place in American sports.

The podcaster talks about Allison Fisher playing at Mother's Billiard in Charlotte, NC, where he was thinking about asking Allison to fix him a burger, since the cook was out at the time. I didn't quiet undersatnd that.

Then they speak about the "Dragon Lady," who, of course, is Jeannette Lee.

Interesting perspective about pool from the outside.

JAM, are you drunk? Are you on a smartphone?:D Have you been kidnapped and are being forced to post under duress? If so, give us a hint and we'll have one of our forum members drive over and bust in!

LOL. Naw, I'm just procrastinating. I have about another 60 minutes left to finish my job, and then I have to start my damn taxes. Man, I am so not looking forward to that. :embarrassed2:

Actually, I might go to the grocery store before I begin my taxes. We're out of some staples. Plus, I can procrastinate a little more, kind of like what I'm doing now by hanging out on the forum. :grin-square:

I think we should do some podcasts, Greg. In fact, that would be a heck of a lot easier than the videos. You can use Total Recorder (free 30-day trial and then 36 bucks) or Audacity (free) to record the podcasts.

I've got a pool player candidate in the house who's got a lot of free time on his hands since online poker has shut down. ;)

The more I think about this, Greg, the more credence I am giving it.

Don't get me wrong, I love your videos of the various events. It is so cool to actually *see* the people talking and capture a glimpse of their personalities. That cannot be replaced with a podcast.

However, you *are* a great interviewer and I think a shoe-in to be a pool podcast man. Think about it! :)

No, I'm not missing the link.

I got it from Itunes as most people get their podcasts there, so I figured people would go to the itunes store and get it from there.

Sorry there was no external link.

Me a great interviewer? Whatever leads you to say that? I've been beating myself up for not being prepared when I went to the Derby. I procrastinated for 3 months, I was supposed to have some questions lined up for everyone, then once I was there the interviews just came up out of nowhere.:D

I had no warning for any of them. I know that I don't want any of my interviews to come off as being "canned" or scripted, but I was REALLY winging it.:) I wanted about 6 or 7 really good questions I wanted to get in, and then the rest feeding off whatever they said.

That sounds like a really good idea Jen. That Total Recorder product also has a video version. It sounds like you can record the VOIP... so we could setup a Skype call or something and record video too. I just downloaded it and will experiment with it. I'll get back to you on this.

I would love to interview Keith, and for that matter, both of you together too.:) It would be a great build up to a potential book release!
