REMEMBER TO SET TAILSTOCK BACK TO ZERO WHEN TURNING SHAFTS ON MONDAY MORNING
yep, i did it, totally forgot to check it this morning:rolleyes:
musta needed one more cup of coffee
but, i caught it just in the nick of time ,
or else i would have cut the shaft in two
usually, i engage the lead screw and walk away and see what else im going to do
good thing i didnt do that today :D:D:D:D:D:D
would have ruined my day,
not to mention brandon's (trustbran) shaft

My Monday hasn't been all that spectacular either.
Was driving over to my shop this morning at 4am to polish-out shafts for Sey and tagged a deer at 50 MPH. ***** was bound & determined to commit suicide. My Linc is a little bent but nothing serious. Even the headlights still work. I know hers don't though. You gotta love living in the country.

I'm glad you are OK - if you hit it head on, it would be a different story.
Take care!

did you get the antlers?
i need some more buck ferrules :thumbup::thumbup:

oh, just saw the "hers" , no antlers :frown:

After I delivered my work to Sey, I went back to the scene of the crime to collect my debris and parts. The incident happened so quickly that at the time, I couldn't tell if it was a buck or doe, though I had my suspicions. Bucks aren't quite so stupid. Sure enough, doe. Sorry, no rack.

The right time of year, my brother could walk my woods and find 'sheds' laying around all over. The place is lousy with deer. 60 acres of woods and not a single tree that I can use. Oh, a little Walnut, Oak & Cherry but mostly soft (Silver) Maple. It was my Alfalfa fields that were the draw for the deer. I sold it off and just kept a little 15 acre estate for myself.
