A good sneaky pete

Sp

Last night at the poolhall, another league player had a Schmelke Sneaky with the Uniloc. With a Predator 314-2 shaft, it hits pretty well but his biggest problem that that it looks too much like a house cue. One time the house staff thought it was theirs and put it back on the wall when he went for a bathroom break.

A friend left a John Guffy sp in Vegas after playing in a team event! Yes, he was drinking,LOL. Sat there all night and nobody touched it! Goes to play and cue not in case. Returns to previous area and there it is. True sp with no visible joint. Back in the day Johns sps sold used for $50, new $85-125 depending on who you were. Same guy used to deal with many high dollar cues but played with the Guffy. Damm things played as good as most. Guffy no longer making cues. His sps are near impossible to find and harder to buy. Bought mine for $45 just to help a guy out. And in my younger years I also retrieved mine off the wall the next day! More than once! Damm beer!

A friend of mine had a Heubler sneaky and the waitress put it on the wall rack when he wasn't looking. Another guy picked it up to break with on the next table and shattered the shaft. My friend thought it was pretty cool until he couldn't find his cue and discovered that it was the one that just got shattered. He just laughed about it.... thats why he is my friend.

That could have been me! I had a John Guffy SP and did exactly what you just described. That cue was finally stolen out of my car at my home driveway. Tried to get John to build me another to no avail so I had Richard Hsu of RJH Custom Cues in Brooklyn build me one......great piece of work that plays great.
