A lil' DIY help, please...

Would you consider a more rigid hanger-maybe a brazing rod. Seem soft enough to not damage shaft?

The collars with a set screw are interesting. I have not seen them other than sold for a depth stop for drill bits.

The little metal crimpers are excellent. It only takes a pinch from a pair of pliers to make em work.

Fishing line will hold a knot. If you tie a knot that a guy showed me. Kind of like a hang mans noose.
