Had a chance to play a 10-ball ring game with him last night with another friend of mine for a few hours. I must say, what an honor it was to just be in his presence and to watch his magic on the table. Needless to say, there was no competition and he took almost every rack. But I did learn a lot... techniques that I would never have learned from another player. I have witnessed shots that I have never seen before nor would have even imagined were possible.
John has a great personality. Quiet and humble. He would never talk about how good he is. In fact, he was very encouraging and would urge you to try new things. With so much potential, I have absolutely no doubts that he will make it big. He told me he's planning on heading to Chesapeake next month for the U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship. I wish him all the best!
