Problem is, which are the ROACHES and which are water bugs?
Why move the aiming threads? Why not address the real problem, those that are there only to disrupt and offer nothing of value? They are the problem, not the topic. If those that don't want to read them stay out of them, no problem.

I am more than happy to set up the area, it will just require a little time to move all of the existing threads into that area.

I also think that having an aiming sub-forum would be beneficial to AZB. Since aiming is a very popular topic, it makes a lot sense to group the aiming threads together by association.
For those rabid posters who like to argue over the minutia of aiming as well as propose silly bets where the loser gets tasered, they would at least be cordoned off in the aiming sub-forum. In the aiming subforum, these folks can argue to their heart's content and preserve the sanctity of the Main Forum.
What I wish for Sean is that any forum have a level playing field. As an example, posters that propose silly bets that involve tasering the loser are not really contributing anything substantive. Or a different example might be posters who carpet bomb the thread and destroy it. And don't forget about the yeahsayers who like to call people names and engage in ad hominem attacks on naysayers.Be careful what you wish for, Allen. For the very rope you wish for, may be formed into a noose that hangs you.
Creation of the subforum also carries with it its own bear-trap teeth. Go into that forum looking for trouble, and that trap will snap closed around your ankles.
Just a friendly warning,
-Sean
the tone of my post is a result of asking in total sincerity for an understandable explanation of cte on a couple of cte threads and NEVER ONCE RECEIVING A SINGLE REPLY OR ACKNOWLEDGEMEMT OF MY QUESTION. not a single person would stop arguing with the idiot of their choice long enough to respond. so, as a result, cte is simpy a load of nonsense to me. if no-one can explain it or agree about it, whats the point? so how does cte work? can anyone agree long enough to tell me?
Everyone should respect and adhere to the forum rules no matter which forum the aiming threads are in.

I feel you pain man! Tough to digest really. Have you looked at Mohrt's Billiards the Game blog site? Check this out - may help; it totally opened my eyes. Mohrt's Blog on pivoting
My thanks as well RobMan. Thats more information on one page than I've gathered browsing the threads out of curiosity here.
Aiming systems are not for me, I've been watching balls roll for to many years, I don't need an 8 step procedure to know where to hit the ball to pocket it.
You are quite welcome; although the kudos go to Mohrt for posting. He also links to Spidey's blog which explains the pivot nicely.
I too have been playing for many a year, but found that incorporating this pre-shot routine definitely helped my consistently. Also, long cut shots for me are MUCH more consistent that prior. Eyes aren't what they once were, and this system helps me. I also have been incorporating it into my bank routine with decent results.
I do get a lot of people asking what the hell I'm doing with the manual pivot!![]()
