Cheap pool may be better than free. I could see people playing pool and buying nothing just for something to do.
The biggest cost of any business is labor. How about six nice quality tables, small place, simple but good food and a bar. You would have to be willing to work it a lot in the beginning yourself to save on labor.

To the OP, we see you trying. I can tell you obviously like the game. But for you it is just a game. You are excited about it, you like making balls. We all know the feeling.
The reason you get the icy reaction from so many of the members of this forum is because instead of liking the game many of us live our lives around the game. We study patterns. We worry about humidity. We talk about causes of skid and the way different brands of rails affect the length of banks.
Please don't take offense to this next part. Although your posts, I feel, are well intended they add nothing to the content of this forum. Your ideas and thoughts on the game are elementary and redundant to the previous content on this forum. And although posts like this are often made by beginning players they are rarely delivered with the authority and blind confidence you deliver your statements and ideas.
The wealth of knowledge on this site is overwhelming and to the knowledgeable, rather humbling. You can read posts and ideas and stories from pros and extremely high level amateurs.
You have basically said that you bang balls and don't feel the finer points of the game areforyou and that's great, too each his own. But remember the peers to who you are puposing these questions to. Banging and blasting are not even considered options.
The members here are here to play at the highest level they can. Not bang balls.

OK I get it. Thanks for explanation. Maybe I'll stop posting in topics where serious skills and experience are required. Just one thing... Do you know any good casual/bar pool forum out there? Maybe it will be easier for me to start debating among my own.
