A question For Greg Sullivan: Vegas What tables?

First off i would like to say i have 0 Vegas experience under my belt as i have never been there, May 12th will be my first visit.

It is my understanding that the VNEA and BCA nation tournaments are scheduled one after the other, i don't know whos first. It is also my understanding that they have always used Valley tables and that the VNEA league is REQUIRED to play on Valley tables. The BCA has now changed hands and Mark Sullivan, owner of Diamond Billiards, owns the BCA. This puts him in an interesting situation. If his tables are best (thats not the question here) he would obviously want the BCA championships held on those, but with the VNEA right after (i think its after not before) they would need to be playing on Valley tables. This puts Mr. Sullivan in an interesting spot. Does anyone know what we are playing on?

BTW, this is not a VNEA vs BCA thread, i just want to know which tables we are playing on and why.

I really really hope that we play on Diamond tables, because i have heard so many good things about Diamond tables, but i still havent had a chance to play on one. I have played on Valleys, and i find them a fine playing table so if we play on those I won't be upset, just a little dissapointed.

Valleys this year, then Diamonds from next year on.

..and, no I'm not Greg Sullivan, I just have a big mouth.

Swee thanks. At least i know now.

When they use diamonds every year after this year do you know if they are going to use diamonds in the valley league as well? Or are they going to do 2 setups?

I can only speak for what I heard about the BCA. A friend of mine told me about the BCA because they played the 9-Ball Nationals back in November on Diamonds.

I would assume VNEA will remain the same, using Valleys.

VNEA will always use Valley.

Greg Sullivan most likely would not have answered this thread. Greg's computer skills consist of turning it on and off. Chad Sharlow and Mark Griffin are the top guns at Diamond these days, Greg is retired.

Oops, Mark Griffin was the one i intended to ask. Greg Sullivan is just the name i always hear being mentioned with Diamond. Mark Griffin is the guy you ALWAYS hear about with the BCA.

Anyways, Diamond will have a booth with tables set up won't they?? I wanna try a diamond!!

Oh yeah. The Diamond booth will be set up with most likely 3 different models. If you are interested in purchasing a table, you can always talk to them about a used tournament table.

Diamond is the best according to Bob, he built his rec room (a full addition to the house) around the Diamond smart table. The table went in first then the walls and so forth.

Eydie, You've just about got things right. My computer skills are much better than last we talked, but I'm much to slow typing and along with being lazy I prefer the cell. I appreciate people answering for me as I don't spend as much time as I probably should on the net and don't want anyone to think I'm avoiding them. If anyone see's something they think I should answer please call me 812-989-6665........................As to the gun situation....... I know I had a heart attack, but I'm not dead yet! ha! I have retired from the day to day functions at Diamond, orders, mfg., employies etc., but there's too much to do with new tournaments, new products etc......thanks, Greg/Diamond
