So...Richard, I was looking through Charlie Bryant's portion of ask the pros and noticed there were several mentions of Charlie coming out with his own line of Break/Jump cues.

According to you and the videos, he's currently using yours...are you guys having a parting of the ways? What's going on with this?

Charlie Byrant is, as I stated on my site, currently using a X Breaker. We are very pleased to have him choosing to break with the X Breaker.

You asked if we had a "parting of the way" so I assume you want to know what I think of Charlie. My opinion of Charlie Byrant is that Charlie is a great player. Although he has only played professionally for about 20 months, he has certainly made a name for himself as one of the toughest player to beat in the US.

In my opinion, Charlie is also a great person who is always trying to help others. He took his precious time during the Super Billiards Expo to offer free jumping and breaking lessons for visitors to the X Breaker booth. The videos you saw on the site was taken during those sessions. I am very grateful for Charlie's time, knowledge, and his willingness to help.

Charlie has been undergoing a lot of hardship recently but he keeps hanging in there and he never gives up, I find that very inspiring and admirable.

I personally regard Charlie as a personal friend. I have a lot of respect for not only his game, but also the way he conducts himself. I consider it a great honour and privilage to have Charlie breaking with the X Breaker.

On a side note, Charlie is a great teacher and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is serious about improving one's game. Attached is a picture of Charlie Byrant working with WPBA pro Hsin Huang on her break at the X Breaker booth in VF. (Hsin breaks with a X Breaker with a custom purpleheart shaft.)

With regard to what you read on his forum, I am afraid you should ask Charlie. Please understand that it is not my place to comment on what you read in his forum and how you choose to interpret them. If Charlie is going to come out with his line of jump break cues, you will hear about it when the time comes.

I would be more than happy to answer your questions regarding the X Breaker. If you have any more question about the X Breaker, please email me at info@xtremebilliard.com. You may also post questions in the forum of my web site.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my site and to watch the videos.

Richard

Charlie was breaking with an X breaker at the pro event at Valley Forge last month. I have no idea if he is coming out with his own cues or not, this is the first I heard of it.

Read in his ask the pros section. It says he's coming out with his own jump/break. And they are recent messages.

And as always, Richard from X Breaker dodges the question with PR....lol

I dont see any recent messages by Hillbilly on any subject but the question was answered.

Hillbilly is currently using the Xbreaker and I personally heard him tell anyone who would listen in VF how good it was and how he had been using it since July.

Richard should not be expected to know or speculate on the future plans of everyone who uses the Xbreaker. As far as i know, Hillbilly is not an employee-just another of the many pros and amateurs who love the Xbreaker.

Look at my previous statements, never once did I say "Charlie Bryant" said...

I said, in his "ask the pros section" it mentions that he's coming out with a jump break cue...2 different azers mention it, one even quotes a price.

Then ask the AZers and Charlie about it. Richard should not be expected to know what other companies are putting out. As of right now Charlie uses an X Breaker, what he will use in the future is up to Charlie, not Richard. Seems like this thread was started just ot bust Richard's balls.

Wow, I'm sorry, you think I'm here to bust peoples balls...It was a simple, up front straight forward question. But, apparently, those aren't aloud around here. If you look at the profile of Charlie, and the 2 AZers they haven't been on in awhile, so that's not an option.

So, I apologize to you, Richard, and anybody else who got there feathers ruffled because I wanted to know about it...excuse me for living sir.

And MR.Wilson go ahead and delete the thread...

Pigcarver,

I just scrolled back and re-read your question and you are right, it's a simple straightforward question. I suspect the comment about busting balls was from teasing Richard about giving a PR answer. In any case I saw what you mentioned about a couple AZers not only mentioning that Charlie had his own J/B cue, but in fact that it was $180 and called "Hillbillythunder". I've never heard of it before either. Interesting!

Perhaps he should...

But you know what guy, it's a message board...just let it go...I already went and took the blame for it.

Please...

Thanks for trying to help me out Tom, but it's not worth the breath.

At this point, I'd rather just let Icon of Sin win, and walk away. I'll be the jerk today.

But thanks man.

Look guys, I really don't like deleting threads.

There is plenty of room for discussion and as mentioned, it is a public place for discussion.

I've fielded PM's from Richard concerning this and other threads.

Richard may not know or may not chose to comment regarding Charlie.
That is his perogative. Please respect it.

My opinion:

Regardless of the product, there are going to be those that love it or hate it.

Both are entitled to thier opinion.

Richard presented the product here and invited commentary, which hasn't all been favorable.

So, should I squash all dissenting commentary and questions regarding a product?

These are the reasons I am not going to delete the thread or squash *civil* questions and criticism about a product.

Hope this helps.

I don't care who wins or loses, now I'm curious about that Hillbillythunder lol...

Charley played in a tourney here last fall. He sold several break cues after he demoed them. They DID sound like THUNDER in his hands.

Charley spent a couple of months here a few years ago. Played a lot in the pool hall we owned. Broke and played with a JACKSON cue. He also made that cue sound like thunder.

Based on the limited sample I've seen I think its the player and not the cue.

huh?

Purpleheart shaft?!?!?!

Did anyone else notice that? It looks like a graphite cue at first glance.
