Nine balls in the rack
A good look at the one
And the one is done
Clickity Clackity Clack

Clickity Clackity Clack
Eight balls in the rack
Line up on the two
And away it flew
Clickity Clackity Clack

Clickity Clackity Clack
Seven balls in the rack
Down with the three
Just like it could see
Clickity Clackity Clack

Clickity Clackity Clack
Six balls in the rack
Say hello to the four
Then show it the door
Clickity Clackity Clack

Clickity Clackity Clack
Five balls in the rack
Now see the five
As it takes a dive
Clickity Clackity Clack

Clickity Clackity Clack
Four balls in the rack
Polish off the six
With just a few clicks
Clickity Clackity Clack

Clickity Clackity Clack
Three balls in the rack
Away with the seven
On it’s way to heaven
Clickity Clackity Clack

Clickity Clackity Clack
Two balls in the rack
Down on the eight
A wink to your mate
Clickity Clackity Clack

Clickity Clackity Clack
One ball in the rack
Drive home the nine
And listen to the whine
Clickity Clackity Clack

Sounds like a Dylan Thomas runout to me.

Dylan Thomas wrote Hickory Dickory Dock, the Mouse Ran Up the Clock ?

Sorry SJM, couldn't resist ....

Here's one I wrote a while back:

A Man and His Tool

I slide it through my hands with excited anticipation
The smoothness of the shaft feels me with exhilaration
It's an extension of me, my sword, my staff
The bond I have with it causes some to chuckle, some to all out laugh
It's the tool of my passion, it does the work, gets the job done
When it slides through just right I know that I have won
When I stroke it perfectly it is truly a work of art
Now that I am in my rhythm it is time for us to start
I lean over and with a thrust it goes in the hole
Taking my time for something like this must be done nice and slow
Some thrusts are fast and hard, others are slow and gentle
Yet the thing to remember is this task is 90% mental
As the climax becomes near I prepare for my last thrust
My position feels wrong so I take a moment to adjust
With one final stroke the ball heads toward the pocket
Nothing can stop it it's aimed just like a rocket
The game is over, victory is mine
The satisfaction I feel makes it well worth my time!
More balls are racked, I chalk up my tip
I pull the trigger, I crack the whip
The balls spread across the table setting up another run
I look at my opponent and smile, it's time to have some fun
